"This review is about the re-issue / Remastering of 'Welcome To The Real World'.
The Good:
For the first time I can hear Black/White real loud without any distortion like on the old RCA release.
The OKAY:
For the first time I can hear Run To Her, Into My Own Hands & Tangent Tears real loud without any distortion like on the old RCA release, however these songs were never that good to begin with. Richer color on the front cover
The BAD:
This 25th anniversary release offers nothing except for the above mentioned (Black/White). This remastering doesn't enhance the album all that well, in fact you can find a far better mastering on the Japan Import 'Best Selection' release; so yeah, the title track, Kyrie, Broken Wings, Is It Love, Uniform of Youth & Don't Slow Down sound better on that release. I can't imagine Richard Page and the rest of the gang approving this rotten release. There is no extras anywhere on this release....no extra songs...no booklet.....no extra anything! Heck even the jewel case is cheap and slim where it can break much easier then the typical style.
The only, and I do mean 'only' reason to buy this cd is for Black/White as it has never sounded better before.
Richard Page isn't doing much of anything these days unless you count a lone Christmas song and his daughter (Aja) releasing (limited) songs, It was a pipe dream to think this release was going to do anything more then hurt my piggy bank, boo on you Friday Music (company who released this)."
