"After nearly a 6 month hiatus from the rap industry, No Limit returned with Da 504 Boyz debut album, "Goodfellas", in May. After selling nearly 140,000 first week copies and debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200, Da 504 Boyz have been certified Gold selling nearly 700,000 copies, and continue to sell at consistent rates. With their current success, No Limit presses forward with the second No Limit related release of the new year. Mr. Marcelo's debut album, "Brick Livin'", continues on the typical No Limit standards, however like the 504 Boyz, with more musical variety than last year. "Brick Livin'", released on No Limit and Tuff Guyz Entertainment, includes guest appearances from fellow "Tuff Guyz" as well as the No Limit Soldiers, including Master P, Krazy, Erica Fox, C-Murder, Ghetto Commission, Dig, Popeye, Samm, and Kenoe. "How U Like It", the albums first single featuring Master P is as typical as No Limit gets offering nothing new at all. "Hold Up" featuring Erica Fox and "Live By It" featuring Mac are stand outs of top quality, laid back, but energetic performances. C-Murder rips through the first verse on "GTO", while Master P runs the floor on "Wildin'" with a strong performance, even if simple. Others to listen for are "Soldiers For Life" a laid back beat with Dig, Samm, and Popeye. "Live It Up" with No Limit producer Kenoe is one of the more creative beats on the album and proves to flow well behind slow tempo lyrics. The album is not as good as the 504 Boyz, but considering Marcelo has made only one appearance ever as a No Limit Soldier on Da 504 Boyz debut, the album is rather impressive. Go pick it up. No Limit's back up in this for 2000, ya heard me?"
