"Our Cincinnati Family went to Chicago for our annual Family Reunion it was there we were introduced to the Cha Cha Slide. This song track had everyone on their feet (young and old)we seniors had more fun it was something we could understand, no profanity, steps were easy and simple to follow. It made me as a senior feel good to be out with my younger neices, nephews and cousins. Our family always has a good time but we played this song and danced together all wee-end. Instead of us telling young people put something on we can dance too each time this was played we beat them on the dance floor. I have not had the opportunity to hear the entire CD but I am sure I am going to like it once I am able to get it. It has not been released here in Cincinnati. Its a nice track to have at any party or even when you are alone when you can here it clearly pratice those steps and join thearty when you go out. It is great. Thanks Mr.C from the older generation."

"This is a great song (the cha-cha slide) for young girls. My daughter has been a cheerleader for 3 years and she is 9. This song helps break the tension or shyness between other girls on her squad. It is great if your child may be overweight, she (he) could use this song as a cardio exercise.
I was at the San Diego Sports Arena for competition with about 7,000 other cheer squads. During intermission this song was played and 90% of the cheerleaders were dancing to the steps of this song. Now my opinion is if almost 7,000 girls liked it than use your own opinion. I like it, It is better than watching my young daughter dancing to ME AGAINST THE MUSIC W/BRITNEY SPEARS."
DJs might want to get Cha-Cha on this comp instead

"This is a decent way to get the song (and it is the original artist) but you'd probably be better off picking up one from Cochise called "Line Dance 2001" (ASIN B00005ABPC) which also has a remixed version of Blackstreet's "Booty Call" that was HUGE in Ohio (and elsewhere I'd imagine..it's the one that incorporates the James Brown shout samples...), The Cleveland Shuffle (Slick Rick's remix), and a remix of the Laidback 80s club tune "White Horse". There's also a version of "Electric Slide" on there, but it's been a LOOONG time since I worked in record retail and I can no longer swear whether it's the Marcia Griffiths original or not. At any rate, you're guaranteed 3 crowdpleasers and if the "Slide" is bonafide, well, that's gravy."

"My family and I heard the Cha Cha Slide in the Gambia West Africa on our holiday in March of this year (2002),the kids raved about it so much but no one knew the title or the artist as it was a recording given to someone in the hotel on a visit from the USA.The staff in the hotel gladly taught us the dance moves and we havn't stopped dancing yet.So after searching the net I found the title and artist and ordered it straight away.its an excellent dance song and I am amazed that it isn't popular in the UK (that I will have to try and remedy).I would love to know all the dance moves as well as the words and any other songs that are of this kind."
