"So far Alia Vox is producing some of the best SACD's around. They are special because they are recorded in a superb venue and the engineers have captured the ambiance of that venue very well without sacrificing instrumental detail. I've said this before; it seems like everything Jordi Saval touches turns to gold. This time, with the help of the superb recording engineers at Alia Vox and his group of superb musicians, Jordi has given is an inspired performance and recording of some of Mozart's gems. Once I started listening to this SACD I could not stop, it was so infectious. His performances here are energetic and his phrasing delectable. In the recording of the Notturno for 4 orchestras, they have used the multi-channel sound of SACD to full effect by placing the first orchestra spread out over the 2 front stereo speakers, the second orchetra is in the rear right and third more distant in the rear left and the forth sounding even more distant coming from the center channel. It's a great effect!!! It really does sound like it's echoing all around you. If you don't have an SACD player and a 5.1 surround channel receiver you really must. This is a must have surround SACD!!! 5 Stars."
