CD ReviewsWonderful compilation of Mozart's later Italian masterpieces CuriousCale | Los Angeles, CA | 03/23/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "This fine 11-disc set includes Mozart's final four Italian operas: Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Cosi fan tutte, and La Clemenza di Tito. The former three are Mozart's most well-known operas, with the libretti by Da Ponte. The only downside (and it is a small downside, given the price) of this attractive set is the absence of translations. The recordings are superb and the singers are all wonderful to listen to, with lively performances and not an ugly voice in the bunch. I have sung portions from all four of these operas, and will continue to study and perform them, so this was a tremendous find for me, and a great price for over 11 hours of Mozart.
All are conducted by Sir Colin Davis.
