"I honestly can't believe that I found this CD! I'm 28 (yes, a child of the 80's) and have looked for the song "What About Me" for nearly 10 years. I assumed it was a one hit wonder or on some long-out-of-print soundtrack. I looked in every electronic mega store and in every off the wall little CD shop. So, I am happy beyond words to finally find this! The rest of the album is OK, with a definite 80's sound, but "What About Me" is the star track of the CD. Moving Pictures also had a song "Never" on the soundtrack of Footloose. Since the tracks are not listed on amazon for this album, I'll do everyone a big favor and list 'em for you....Nothing To Do; WHAT ABOUT ME; Round Again; Bustin Loose; Wings; The Angel and the Madman; Sweet Cherie; So Tired; Joni and the Romeo; Streetheart."
Moving Pictures - A One Album Wonder?

"When I hear the band Moving Pictures mentioned, yes, the song "What about me" comes to mind. The first time I ever heard (as well as saw the song being performed) was on MTV. It was a live video of the song. That song for me, as well as for others out there, was my theme song if you will. It seemed everyone of my friends were getting everything out of life they wanted, but me. Whenever I get a little misty-eyed or even a little depressed because my life isn't where I want it to be, I put on a few "sensitive" songs, "What about me" being one of them, and I have a good cleansing cry. This song meant so much to me that I have two original vinyl copies of "Days of Innocence" , one being a promo copy. By the way I agree that the one song is worth the cost for the cd, but hey the rest of the album aint bad either, a real bargain. If you like Moving Pictures, and don't mind buying a cd for one really good song, and others, check out the re-issue of Danny Wilsons' "Meet Danny Wilson" I think "Marys' Prayer is worth the cost of the cd too, and this is coming from a guy with over 1300 cds and over 1500 vinyl."
Worth the Wait

""What about Me?" To me, this song is a classic, therefore the price of the CD is worth it. This is the only time I've heard the rest of their songs, and I LOVE them! Despite not hearing "What about Me" for at least 15 years, I still could sing every word, and I plan on committing most of the CD to memory. If you aren't sure if you want to order this CD based on only one song, trust me: do it! The piano, the saxophone, everything is so wonderful. Such clear voices. Everything you love about "What about Me" can be found on each and every song."
Moving Pictures - A Review From Down Under

"I too was a 'teenager' of the 80's, and Moving Pictures were one of my favourite bands. Being a local band for me here in Melbourne, Australia, I used to see them live at many venues. They were an awesome band with a huge following. Alex Smith, the singer, had a great voice and singing the classic "What About Me" got the crowd going everywhere they played. A number of the songs of the album got into the top 10 charts here in OZ, but WAM stayed there for over two months. They released a second album called "Matinee' which I have on vinyl. It had a few good songs on it as well. The band split up and the lead songwriter (Gary, who played keyboards I think) went on to join another band called 1927). I never realised Moving Pictures actually made it to the US. They are one Aussie band who have not made a comeback!.Nostalgia - It's a wonderful thing..............."
I've been searching for this for a LONG time!

"I've just ordered this CD - I haven't even listened to it yet. But since it has "What About Me?", I know it will be fabulous. I tried to order this song back in 1986, and was told that it was out of print. I've searched off and on since then with no luck. I can't wait for it to come in the mail!"
