Great trance track? Yes! Mind-blowing? Not so much.

"I will happily and readily agree with the other reviewers here that this is a great vocal trance song. Definitely one of the better that I have heard. I am a little mystified, however, by HOW enthusiastic others are about this track.
I recently downloaded the seven track/remix maxi-single of this song from iTunes after reading the incredibly effusive reviews of this song here as well as on iTunes. I must admit that while I was satified with my purchase, I was a tad bit let down. After reading these reviews, I was expecting to be knocked back on my heels. I did indeed love the music as well the vocals, but I didn't find either to be incredibly unlike any track pulled at random from any 4 Strings or Ian Van Dahl album. That is not a bad thing at all, mind you, as I love both 4 Strings and Ian Van Dahl, but I was expecting something completely out of the ordinary here and it just didn't deliver that for me. To be fair, I believe that my assessment may be due to the fact that I am so late in coming to this. If I had heard this years ago when it first came out, I think that I would have been much more impressed. In today's trance soundscrape, however, this isn't anything monumental.
"As the Rush Comes" is certainly a solid addition to your music collection, and I would definitely recommend it to any vocal trance fan, just with tempered enthusiasm."
