"Motley now has the record for "fastest to have more greatest hits and live albums than they have studio albums", previously held by Aerosmith. Most of the songs are from their first 5 albums, which are all they ever did that really count. At this rate they will capture the title "most greatest hits albums from fewest studio albums" currently held by Quiet Riot. Despite reguritating the same songs over and over, two of them are still broke."
Again? Really?

"Motley Crue is and has been my favorite band for as long as I care to remember. That said, I am not buying this CD. I'm tired of buying the same damn songs over and over. Sure, they've added a couple of songs that haven't been on previous Greatest Hits albums, but I own those on the original releases. One unreleased song is not enough incentive. I would have appreciated it if a long time ago, they had decided to do their Greatest Hits albums in volumes without having repeats of songs. I love you Nikki, but enough is enough."

"I like how they went about this greatest hits album. They pretty much go from the stand point it is a updated version of the previous greatest hits album. They aren't like other bands who do a bunch of these then act like by the 3rd or 4th hits album have never done one before. I got this for 9.99 at best buy and it came with a bonus dvd with footage from cruefest 2 tour which is a cool behind the scenes special. This cd is great if you are just getting into them or long time fans like me that have all their cds, but like to see an updated hits album for a value price."

"Motley Crue is one of my favourite bands of all time and I love their music. They released some great albums and influenced many other artists during and since their heyday in the 1980s. Motley were there, loud and in your face and I think that's what their fans loved so much about them. There have been 9 studio albums, 3 previous Motley Greatest hits (Decade of Decadence, Greatest Hits, The Millenium Collection if you count it and Red,White and Crue), 2 boxed sets and 2 live albums since they started on the sunset strip in 1980. Now in late 2009 comes a new compilation of Motley Crue songs, let's look at it.
I'm satisfied with the representation of Shout At The Devil, Dr. Feelgood and all the others but I can't help but think that their first album Too Fast For Love deserved at least another song on this greatest hits. They put the title track here but why not Live Wire or Piece of Your Action, there are plenty of excellent songs on Motley' first album. There are no songs from their Self-Titled album from 1994 with singer John Corabi who replaced Vince Neil but that was to be expected, but it would have been nice to get something from 2000's New Tatoo at least. This greatest hits has 1 songs from Too Fast, 3 from Shout, 2 from Theatre and Girls, 5 from Dr.Feelgood, Primal Scream from the early 90s Decade of Decadence greatest hits, 1 song from Generation Swine, 2 from the 2004 Red, White and Crue compilation, 2 from their latest album Saints of Los Angeles if you count the remix of The Animal In Me (which isn't that different from the original by the way).
That aside, the songs selected were pretty good. Personally I would have taken out the two songs from Red, White and Crue and replaced them but they picked the very best. Ok, now I just have to say this: except the songs from Saints THIS IS ALL ON RED, WHITE AND CRUE ALREADY! I understand that record companies make money from those compilations and they are made because there are new fans each year but it would be nice if they varied from one another. To me R W & C was the ultimate compilation being two disc, spawning their whole career and including a few extras for the hardcore fans, I've rarely seen better. This one is not bad but it lacks diversity from other soundtracks and misses a few things. Seeing how perfect R W & C was and what this one is, the fact that it is yet ANOTHER compilation for Motley and that I'm a hardcore fan I can't give it more than two stars.
My advice would be to get Red, White and Crue you get much more for your money if not this one while lacking is still worth getting if you're a new fan of the band.

"The Crue has been around since the early 80's .They should have enough stuff for a greatest hits 2 cd. If I Die Tomorrow,Saints Of LA and The Animal In Me are a good way to start a second greatest hits cd. Then songs like Live Wire, Piece Of Your Action, and Starry Eyes would also be good to include."
