"Teal Collins and Josh Zee are engaging and smart writers and singers. After seeing this group live at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, TX, I bought the CD immediately. You know how the great feeling you have when you see live music generates such enthusiasm that you just can't resist buying the CD? Then, the CD is disapppointing. Something is always missing. You can't quite put your finger on it, but it's not the same. Well, this CD does not disappoint. Whatever it is that generates that great feeling when you see these guys live is captured on this CD and I'm sure it has something to do with both the quality of writing and musicianship. These musicians are accomplished. Their lyrics are smart and insightful, the music is soulful, the harmonies are tight. I couldn't help but think of Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris when I heard Collins and Zee harmonizing.

Then, Collins belts the Chris Smithers written "Love Me Like a Man" Bonnie Raitt classic done in a great Josh Zee guitar slinging arrangement. Their influences are right, and they take the genre to a new level. This is one of the best CDs I've heard in a long while. These folks deserve support."
