Wonderful recording of "early" klezmer

"One of my very favorites of the klezmer genre. (I also recommend Alicia Svigals' "Fidl," on which violinist Steven Greenman also plays; Perlman should sound like this!) First-rate playing and recording from Europe, in an early-music, 19th century guise, played on traditional instruments. Certainly no electronic instruments or rock 'n' roll drumming; plenty of kiddishkeit. Good liner notes; great tunes and plenty of them (23 tracks = 59 minutes)."
This is the real thing!

"Having heard Budowitz live in Holland and being blown away by their almost telepathic feeling for rhythm and ensemble playing, I bought this CD. It's just amazing! There is nothing like it on the klezmer scene today, and if anyone thinks that Budowitz is old-fashioned, they shuld have their ears cleaned. The sound, the rhythms, the ornamentation and the liner notes! Don't think, just buy this CD. It will open your eyes to a world of music you didn't know existed."
