CD ReviewsMother Gong - 'Tree In Fish' (Voiceprint) Mike Reed | USA | 02/26/2007 (4 out of 5 stars) "Wasn't too familiar with this particular Mother Gong title. Believe it might be a reissue from the mid-'90's. Either way, it's a good effort by the Gong space whisper mistress, we know as Gilli Smyth. Tunes that more than made me sit up and take notice were "Between Us", the hypnotic "She Smiled", the jazzy "Mother Goddess", the somewhat quirky "The Beach Is Hot" and the ten-minute "Balein". Felt this disc had a poetic vibe to it, possibly more so than other Mother Gong releases. Line-up: Gilli Smyth-vocals, Harry Williamson-guitar&keyboards, Conrad Henderson-bass and Robert George-drums. Good pick."
