"Although hard to believe, this follow-up may even be better than Living With The Animals -- the groups first release. If I am not mistaken, the group had moved to Tenn from Calif before producing this masterpiece. Although the country influence is clearly present, the recording still rocks out with some very bluesy and soulful cuts...and then there is "The Fly" by R.P. Saint John, which is hard to describe, but accomplishes to convey a netherworld experience within the context of a pop song, and in the process rises to a genuine level of poetic art. Of course Tracy Nelson's singing is as good as ever, and the song selection and ordering on this release form a progression of song types that work together to produce an emotionally satisfying listening experience. Great to see this release now available on CD."

"My personal favorite on this album is "You Win Again," and she can still sing like that. This is full of good ones, besides that. Just slightly not as great as the first one by them, but it's close enough to be called great."
