"Mortiis, as most black metal fans realize, once played bass with Emperor, and was also the chief songwriter of their earlier releases. Yet, for Mortiis, this was simply a temporary stop on his way to valleys much darker and forboding. Mortiis' music is not black metal, not metal at all. Some call it dark wave or dark ambient, he calls it "dark dungeon music". This discription is appropriate. Each release is primarily instrumental, with the occasional haunting vocals or wails of anguish. Sarah Jezebel provided the vocals on this release. Listening, you are sent on a journey to the stars, on viking ships and other regions....a very haunting and very beautiful release. This import is coupled with a leather bound book, filled with imformation and prose. A must have addition to any collection. Ave, Mortiis."
