"The guys from mortician, Will rahmer the vocalist, and Roger beaujard, who plays the guitar and does the drum programming, are two amazing people as well as very important, in the death/grind genre, because they have been making music, for aslong as i've known...Well, its paying off.
As a huge fan of the guys from mortician, i have every single released item from the guys. Including,dvds,cds,t-shirts,&,hoodis, know all their lirycs and, have seen them on tour with exhumed which was a big honor because i also love exhumed's music as well.
Mortician's album "hufb" is another classic,in your face, brutal released album with one mean and dark sound to it. I think every one in metal should , have, atleast two or one album by mortician because their all amazing. Also make sure that you get a copy of "domain of death " and mortician's latest release item brand new official live release album under the title "zombie massacre live" its over 60 minutes long and has thirty seven tracks of pure live sonic terror. Buy or die!
All hail mortician!

"Hey, death metal can be awkward, not everyone likes everthing in the genre. Mortician uses alot of sound effects and a drum machine to create their sound. I happen to like anything with screaming and growling, so I would recomend this album and any other Mortician album. The sound effects give Mortician a unique sound and feel. Not to mention that these guys put on a sick live performance."

"you people make me sick. any person who gives this album anything below 4 stars doesn't feel the true power of metal. the drum machine is what makes mortician mortician, and there really isn't anything cheesy about it. this album is all about pure, creepy atmosphere (w/ a touch of cheez). the songs are a bit slow and basic at times, but in my opinion, simplicity always works better in metal than the bands that try WAY too hard. this is my personal favorite by mortician and it holds a very special place in my heart. it also reminds me of chinese food. "oooo!""
Mortician's "best"

"First of all, pay no attention to those "Mortician's not REAL metal, (insert band name here) is" claims. If you're looking for quality metal, with actual verses, choruses, hooks, melodies and such, you're looking in the wrong place. That's not the point of Mortician. Mortician doesn't exist to write great music, they don't exist to push the metal envelope, they don't exist to demonstrate their talent. Mortician does not write good music. What they do is create incredibly repetitive, but incredibly FUN, groovy death metal. Liken it to the many films they base their music on. Is Sleepaway Camp a good movie? Hell no. Is it fun? Hell yes it is. Such is it with Mortician. Their songs are all pretty much the same, they're all incredibly short and filled out by often hilarious horror movie soundbytes. Roger's guitar riffs are simple, simple, simple, and so down-tuned you can almost hear the strings flapping against the pickups. They're short and they're repetitive, but for the most part they're well-constructed, and they're BASSY. Add to that the fact that Will's vocals are the lowest, deepest, moistest death burbles in the business, and you've got some music that, while not mindblowing, is certainly catchy and endearing. You watch slasher movies to see people get killed in ridiculous ways, and you listen to Mortician to get silly, burbly, catchy, 45 second long death metal songs. And even if you don't like their music, their songs read as a great horror movie "to watch" list.
All that said, Hacked Up For Barbecue is Mortician's first full-length album, and their most catchy and consistent. I personally like their Zombie Apocalypse EP a little better, but HUFB is their "classic" album. If you're new to Mortician, this would be a good place to start."
