Best of all their works

"I loved Morsel from the very first time I heard them at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor. Their no longer available cassette only EP was phenomenal but this work shows their maturity and technical prowess in the studio. The layers of sound on this record make it incredibly enduring as you gain more knowledge and depth of the music with each listen but like all great works of art it does not give up its secrets easily. I could call this album a blend of about 30 bands yet it sounds nothing like anyone else. Thankfully, you can check out samples but those do not do this work justice as you need the whole of the songs to let Miriam's voice work its hauting magic. Lyrically, it portrays a brilliant and initmate persona into some of the archetypes of rock-n-roll lyrics but unlike most rock albums it does not bring about a catharsis which overrides how bad life can suck, rather it poignantly drives one into a corner to face the harshness and futility of contemporary life and relationships."
