"This is a CD reissue of an original King album by Moon Mullican. The material is excellent and largely unavailable elsewhere. The main highlights not available on another album are "So long", "1001 sleepless nights", "Keep a light in the window for me" & "A Crushed red rose". The material is above the law and shows anyone who isn't aware of the fact that country music in the old days was so diverse and broad. There is only one reason that this album doesn't deserve 5 stars: some of the songs (such as "Leaving you with a worried mind", "Short but sweet" & "Well oh well") are edited and omit much of Moon's piano playing and other playing between the vocal verses. Unfortunately, many of the songs that are cut aren't available on other CDs and you need to look for the hard to find 45s and 78s to get the full versions of the songs."

"You'd have to be a longtime Moon Mullican fan to get much real enjoyment from this CD, which comes with no liner notes of any kind and includes a few clumsy editing jobs."Jambalaya" is embarrassingly bad and had me worrying that I'd stumbled across yet another 3rd-rate Hank Williams copy cat. The real Moon Mullican is shown off better on traditional C&W sides like "So Long" and his later Blues influenced stuff like "I'm Mad With You," "Well Oh Well," and the truly rockin' "Seven Nights To Rock," which Bruce Springsteen covered on his 2003 tour."
