"This is another excellent southern rock, kick your ..., Molly Hatchet cd. ..."
Let's be fair...this is a solid album.

"Some people hate the fact that Phil McCormack sounds like Danny Joe Brown...probably the same ones who hate the fact that Journey's Steve Augeri sounds like Steve Perry and Skynyrd's Johnny Van Zandt sounds like Ronnie Van Zandt. C'est la vie. "Silent Reign Of Heroes" has the same balance between hard-driving rockers and power ballads found in the best of Hatchet's DJB catalog. The 8 minute title track may be another "Free Bird-slash-Green Grass & High Tides" retread, but so WHAT? The band is doing its best to create new material and they work their backsides off all over the world, bringing happiness to fans of the old songs. Don't like it? Don't listen to it...it's that simple. For everyone else, you're in for a treat."
