"This roots rock rockabilly cowpunk down n' dirty rock n' roll with soul surprise is a welcome relief to these ears, finally a band that plays real deal rock without trying to be retro - they just have it and know how to play it. Their homage to Johnny Cash is the album barn burner - "Baddest Mother's Son" takes off where "BOY Named Sue" left off. "Linda Marie" is one of those songs you felt like you've heard before - it has the sound of a true classic. All songs on this disc reveal a sardonic wit and true grit - These guys are obviously pure rock n' roll scholars - Music for purists, not the tourists. Oh and by the way, forget completely about Roxx Gang - this is a horse of a completely different color. Roots and soul delivered up in spades. They may come from Tampa but they sound like they had to crawl through the swamp to get there. Nice stuff, well done"
