"This a slamming yet funky set of 80's electro style techno. Recommended for both pasty suburbanite synth fetishists and those who like techno they can feel (dare I say it this has soul or something approaching it). If you are someone who has written off electronic music as 'soulless', peep this album right here. Juan Atkins along with Derrick May, Carl Craig, and those zany Germans Mouse on Mars are part of a handful of techno artists who make music that really communicates something 'human'(?) to the listener. That is the genius of their music and why so much other electronic muzak is just a soundtrack to an automaton's nightclub/cafe d-elevator ride to oblivion. Put this one of a feel the vibe flow through, funk not only moves, it can re-move. Dig?"

"Well what ca be said that more succincly describes this than the title. Juan Atkins is one of the founders of this music we know as techno, any serious study of dance music must include his work, and here they are the early singles all in one package. Check it out! Very difficult to find as well it shows how complete Amazon's resourses are."

"This era of electronic music is a classic one definitely, as the music (especially "No U.F.0") has been on regular airplay in Chicago's Little Village/Pilsen Hispanic neighborhoods since the song came out back in the early 80's. Many original copies of the record are still floating around the neighborhoods. My only gripe about this CD is that there are a buncha remixes, and not enough original versions of the song. Other than that, this is the music that 60-70 y/o's are gonna be listening to in 40 years with nostalgia."
