Rhino's reissues of the Mitch Ryder/Detroit Wheels tracks, including this CD, have featured the original stereo mixes of the songs, whereas the other currently available
Ryder hits CD (on another label) has them in mono. It's a matter of preference; if you
like the stereo sound, this disc offers the five biggest hits the group scored between 1965 and 1967, and five other tracks which were either lower-charting singles or LP tracks. As with most of the Rhino Flashback CDs, the "booklet" is skimpy, though there are a few informative paragraphs about the group's history.

"Devil with a Blue Dress On & Other Hits by Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels is about a half hour long and was released on cassette on June 10, 1997. Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels was a band from 1964 through 1967. The group charted a few songs but never had a number one hit. The music has the Detroit sound with some rhythm and blues thrown in. I don't know if I would run out and buy another album from the group, but the music is good to listen to. Devil with a Blue Dress On & Other Hits by Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels gets a B+.
