"The Misfits Live. Why don't you own this album? Yes, the sound quality is bad, but anyone who knows anything about this band knows that Misfits shows were about the music, aggression, and creating a "fiendish" atmosphere not overproduction of their raw, stripped down sound. The Misfits Evilive might actually be a bootleg, but who cares you can still hear just about everything you need to. 20 eyes was the perfect choice to jump start this classic. This album is strong from start to finish and truly embodies what the Misfits were about live....Mayhem."
As close to being in person as you can get

"Despite it's sound quality, "Evilive" is as close as anyone can get today to seeing the Danzig-era Misfits live. As just about everyone knows, this disc comes close to sounding like an import bootleg, but if you can get past that you'll get a sample of the surprisingly awesome power and energy of what a Misfits show was like back in their heyday. "Astro Zombies", "Horror Business", and "We Are 138" (with Henry Rollins!!!) were meant to be played live, although "Last Caress", "Die, Die My Darling", "Halloween", "She", and "Bullet" would have been more than welcome here as well. That aside, this is still worth picking up for all Misfits fans, although newcomers are better left starting off with either "Collection" album or "Static Age"."
A must for hardcore, die hard Fiends!

"Having only witnessed the new school Misfits twice (both times excellent) I was interested in hearing some old school Misfits live with Glenn. Well, they were intense, as is this CD. The sound quality is not as bad as people say, just "turn it up...you want us to turn it up!" Any hardcore fiend will enjoy this CD greatly, since it gives newer Fiends a glimpse into the Misfits of old. BUY THIS!"

"i loved it! and if you think the production is bad on the misfits other cd's wait til you hear this...waaaay worse. and the track list is so-so i would have liked more songs on here. so why 5 stars? because when you listen to this you are stepping back in time to a live misfits show. i can only imagine what seeing them live would be like. the coolest thing about this album to me is in between songs glenn is talking to the audience, cussing and rambling on. at the end of nike a go-go he sais, "we gotta tune up, we pound these f***ing guitars like jackhammers; what do you think we're lightweights?" the aggressiveness he exhibits is unbelievable. another highlight is henry rollins from black flag chimes in on the last track, we are 138. get this if you love the fits."
It's good

"The poor sound quality compliments the songs, and it's nice listening to the buzz of things on this album. Devil's Whorehouse is my favorite track and this album is pretty much Walk Among Us gone live, and the rendition of We Are 138 with Henry Rollins sounds noticably different than the original version, it's faster. Cheers."
