CD Reviews
This is 'cool' but there's so much to choose from

"This is a beautiful album, and there are too many tracks to pick from that stand out from the album (having said that 'Cafe De Flore' has to be right up there with my favourites). There are some classics and some lesser known and some nice remixes that you may not have heard before. On the first listen I was sold and know that I had got exactly what I wanted and that was to taken on a journey of laid back vibes, drubbed down, straight up, no messin grooves and beats. Ministry provided just that.
I am a fan of MOS and the sterling work they continually provide us, the music greedy. I do, however, think it's a shame that MOS is seen as the one and only label to follow when it comes to chillout or even any genre of music. There is so much more on offer. Try the "Hed Kandi" label for a real variety of disco, house, groove and they always popular chillout.
The "Euphoria" series is always one worth opening your ears to too. Their chillout range is right up there with MOS."Buddha bar" stuff is also exceptional and well worth the investment.
Also, the lesser known "St. Clair Records" provide some nice stuff of value to the chillout world, namely 'cool grooves' which IMHO is great.
I'm saying this album is ace, but don't let the big name of MOS lead you down a garden path away from the wealth of chillout stuff that's available. Keep your options open and your musical mind ever questioning."
Brrr this is chilly

"Another good showing from MOS and their chillout series. These are especially pleasing in the early hours when winding down from a long night of dancing. I have always enjoyed the series and refuse to buy any other chillout label.
Pick this up and you won't be dissapointed. *Cheers*"
Another great mix

"I don't often do reviews but this is quite a good CD. In fact, all of the MOS chillout CDs have been quite good. On CD 1, "Heaven" is nice and I really liked the Jakatta song featuring Seal "My Vision". I have a Jakatta CD on my wishlist here on Amazon now because I want to hear more of their stuff. There are lots more, Underworld, Reno, Koop, Moloko who had a big house hit "Sing it back" on this CD is less housey and a little more relaxed but you could chill to it or dance if you wanted to. There is even a little hip hop with Rae & Christian who have done a lot of nice chill stuff and also quite a bit of hip hop - in any case it does fit into the mix nicely and doesn't seem out of place. CD 2 has some nice tracks on it as well from the popular "Poor Leno" by Royksopp and a nice Groove Armada song "Healing" to a song by Manijama that is almost a dance floor track but still fits nicely into the mix. This CD is expensive but I highly recommend it, I own six of Ministry of Sound chill CDs and I have been very satisfied with all of them."
