"Milton's music has such a natural, joyful sound. I have heard many of Milton's albums from the 80's and had often thought, "This would be so much better if he took away the synthesizers and replaced them with orchestration and Brazilian instruments." He has accomplised that for me with this album. The use of many more acoustic instruments and drums really brings out the best in his beautiful and moving voice. There is a good reason he is a superstar in many countries around the world. This is one of my top 5 albums that I can listen to over and over. Definitely worth owning!"
Return To Form

"After turning out many lackluster, overproduced albums in the late 1980s and early '90s, Nascimento is back at the top of his form with this album, full of rich melodies, powerful rhythms and wonderful lyrics. A great complement to this CD is the marvelous book "The Brazilian Sound," which devotes an entire chapter to Nascimento and which I also purchased through Amazon.com."
A Must Have!

"This is such a wonderful CD to have. It not only pleases me, but it settles my newborn when she is fussy. Best tracks are Cuerpo y Alma and Janela Para O Mundo."

"This isn't Milton Nascimento at his best. The rhythms are a bit
tired at points or too melodramatic at others. Still, there is no
escaping his soul-wrenchingly beautiful voice - so if you haven't
enjoyed his earlier work, put this album down right now and listen
to a few of his classics, like "Anima" or "Vidro e corte"."
