"I'm a huge Milton fan, but I wasn't crazy about some of the overproduced (or, rather, inappropiately--I feel--produced) records he did in the late 80s/early 90s (e.g., Yauarete). This, however, is excellent. It's pretty sparsely produced and restores the focus to the songs and that magnificent voice, which is where it should be. Check out Herbie Hancock absolutely tearing it up on "San Vicente." My goodness."
His absolute BEST!

"This is the first album by Milton that I ever came across and is still my favorite, as another listener said. "Endless" and "Fruta Boa" are gorgeous and romantic. The language is always surprising. The CD, from pictures to the epigraph, to the songs themselves, are perfection in artistry. Other CDs he has done with American artists or English-language songs just don't
come up to this recording. Hollis Greenspan, mshollisg@msn.com"
