Mike + Ruthy - 'one of acoustic America's most revered musical duos' (Folk Alley) - have reemerged with an ace ensemble and a stunning new album 'Bright As You Can.' Recorded in the woods near Woodstock, NY the music is pure Americana - ranging from the high-octane, pop-infused 'What Are We Waiting For' to the twinkling banjo & hushed harmony of 'The Farmer.'

Ruthy Ungar's earthy, soulful vocal shines on 'Rock On Little Jane' amid vintage horns and strings, while Mike Merenda's autobiographical 'Chasin' Gold' and the cinematic 'Cigarette' bestow on him heavyweight singer-songwriter status.

The title track, 'Bright As You Can' sums up their message. Over churning acoustics, driving rhythms, and keening pedal steel, Mike + Ruthy jubilantly sing of those who have loved them - mothers, fathers, lovers, children - who gave them words of strength, placed their hands on strings and steering wheels, inspiring them to make music filled with as much love as possible and take it to a world in dire need of connection, joy, and family.
