"This is a wonderful, very idiosyncratic album, starting with the unusual instrumental lineup - percussion, vibes, bass, cello & sax, with the sax not in any way overwhelming the other instruments, even in the (mainly short & succinct) group improvisation sections - the feel is light, almost airy, without falling into the kind of ethereal plinky-plonk that has me craving a blast of Albert Ayler. Three gorgeous tunes (especially "Day of the Dead") provide a kind of overall structure ... cop a listen."
