Synopsis

Product Description
Here's where we're supposed to tell you about how much Mike has grown as an artist, and how this album is a major departure from his previous works. BUT IT AIN'T! It's totally the same album, just with different names and slightly different music in the background. Shockingly enough, with this knowledge, y'all STILL gonna buy this stuff. He's kinda like Laurie Anderson, or maybe Frank Zappa. With NNMaddox's incredible production, the Macharyas ball keeps on rollin'. Check out that awesome Woody Allen impression on "Soon-Yi Previn." "Klaus Nomi" is rockin' too, featuring backing vocals by (H)aig. "Bono" is a straight up masterpiece, the way it's all sing-songy. Almost sounds like a stupid brat kid singing "na na na na boo boo" and sticking his tongue out. And really, who in the world is doing songs about "Anderson Cooper" and "Bob Barker". That crazy guy, Mike Macharyas. What a maniac.

Stuff you've done better

(1 out of 5 stars)

"Ambient noise that sometimes breaks out into something that catches your attention. Macharyas repeats variations on a celebrity's name over top some anonymous tunes. Occasionally the tune he matches is at odds with the name. How droll. Momentarily he may stumble upon a new rhythm in the samples. Check out "Courtney Love." This kind of thing has been done much better by others, but this micro genre is too whatever for me to bother looking up the names."
