CD ReviewsWow! Really AWeSome! Vind3d | 10/31/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "i like it when Mika Nakashima sings to me. That is how i feel when I listen to her, that she is singing to me. But, it is kind of sad that i cannot understand the language of my favorite vocalist. That is because i do not understand Japanese, and my favorite singer, sings in Japanese. And yet I still find her music very compelling. i was really thrilled to find this album. In fact you would not believe how high the play count on my ipod is of her album the End is. And not just one or two songs, but the whole CD. I am really happy with how long this music has continued to affect me. It must be the emotion that is in Mika's voice. There are some of her songs that she does sing in English. Like Blowing Out. And some that are a mix of English and Japanese lyrics in one song, which is interesting to hear her switch back and forth between the two. You can tell her music really comes from the heart. My current fav song, and i say current because i keep alternating between favs on this album... is Neglest Mind. And Real World is a close second. Pardon me I have to go listen to them again. lol No wait, Blood, is my fav. It really sounds like Mika has a classically trained voice, but she is really good at charging her lyrics with emotion. Blood is very blusey and soulful. An excellent mix of the two. An almost haunting melody. I'm not a music critic so i am a little uncomfortable giving a song by song critique. Isolation a sort of wistful upbeat tune. And I'm glad the producers saw fit to give her such a good backing band. It shows they really hear her talant. I guess this just shows the power of music. Mika Nakashima is able to transend the barrier of language. I highly recommend this one!" Perfection! Buffy | Sunnydale | 01/03/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "I love this CD and Mika Nakashima sounds great in this collection of songs from the Nana movie. Specifically for the Korean version which I purchased from Amazon it sounds great, was a fully authorized cd, and came in a slipcover. 5 stars. Oh, if you're buying this you've probably already seen the Nana movie, but in case you haven't it's also highly recommended and available on region 1 dvd for U.S. audiences." MY FAVORITE CD!
