"I just found this CD on the Web. I was very surprised as I played the drums on three of these recordings back in 1967. I was only 16 years old and it was a great time in my life. Midnite Sound Studio was a recording studio and was the upstairs of an old house on Ross Lane road, South of Danville. My drums were set up in a small closet. We had won a Battle Of The Bands contest and we won some recording time at the studio. The name of our band was "The Different Ones". George Jacks was the leader of the band and his name seems to be the only credit listed on the CD. George also sang several songs with (Jeanne) whom George ended up marrying. George sang lead and played lead guitar, Doug Brooks on Rhythm guitar, Tom Church on Bass, and Big Lloyd Miller played several percussion items. I sure wish I could find some pictures of the band way back in those days. I still have a copy of the original reel to reel studio recording tapes. George went on to play music in several other very successful local bands such as Plush.
The Cobra's were a cool Junior High school band at North Ridge.
