"I first became aware of Midnight Star during a Budweiser Music Superfest held at Madison Square Garden in the early 80's. They were the opening act, which is usually a position where a little-known group will go through the motions as they know that the crowd is anxious to get past them to the big name acts. Not Midnight Star. They came out with energy, passion and such a 'tight' presentation that people were leaning forward in their seats, asking "Who are they?"
After thoroughly enjoying their entire performance that night, I purchased this album shortly thereafter and was again taken by surprised at the overall excellence. This is one of the best albums I've ever owned, and that isn't an exaggeration. Every single song is well put together, and the sequence is just right. It is an album that you can listen to from beginning to end, without having to skip anything. Several of the cuts, such as Night Rider, were never released but are just as good as the singles.
Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed, trust me."
