Reissue of the second album, which was recorded in 1996 in Seattle. The band took a liking to the Walkabouts' music and elected their leader Chris Eckman to be their producer - a cooperation that still is working to this day. Eckman created a crystal-clear sound with hypnotic string arrangements by noted Seattle composer Mark Nichols, a perfect foil to Paal Flaata's expressive voice. And although there is some steel-guitar the band has abandoned almost all Americana elements, creating their own style instead. Songs like 'Long Hard Ride', 'Sisters Of Mercy' and 'Jeff Bridges' are bona fide hits and still are in their live repertoire. Guests include various Walkabouts members (Glenn Slater, Chris & Carla, Bruce Wirth) as well as Carolyn Wennblom on backing vocals. 'Olsen's Lot' marks a big leap forward in the history of the band. They would make a similar creative jump for their next album, which became the 'Amsterdam Stranded' masterpiece. Glitterhouse Records.
