"Sadly Mickey passed away in September 2002 after a long illness and its criminal that his RCA catalogue has not seen the light of day on CD until its posthumous release on Raven Records out of Australia. But it is worth waiting for, his original versions of Just Dropped In (Kenny Rogers), Funny Familiar Forgotten Feelings (Don Gibson, Tom Jones) Sunshine (Ray Charles) Sweet Memories (Andy Williams, Everly Brothers et al) and many others plus some bonus tracks from his days @ Elekta. Liner notes from his original albums including Kris Kristofferson's from Looks Like Rain(1969).And there's an added bonus for us Everly/Emmylou fans - remove the CD and there's that famous shot of the Mick with Wesley Rose, Emmy and Don Everly from Wembley 1977, the first time I saw him in concert. This compilation nicely rounds off the Newbury CD catalogue, thanks to the wonderful Bob Rosemurgy we have had access to all of his recordings from 1969 (Looks Like Rain) thru to his most recent Long Road Home and Winter Winds. He'll me sady missed but we have very sweet memories!"
Very poorly mastered off the vinyl

"I'm not categorically against mastering cd's off the vinyl. I understand sometime it's the only option available; however, I have a hard time believing this is the best they could do. Plenty of hiss and crackle and the muffled sound found on vinyl that was poorly pressed in the first place. If you have acess to a vinyl copy, save your money."
