Mick Farren - 'To The Masterlock:Live In Japan 2004' (Captai

(4 out of 5 stars)
"This is a real 'live' Deviants release,so much better than that 'Barbarian Princes-Live '99' disc.Tracks include the blistering "I'm Coming Home","Slum Lord" and the much appreciated "Black Transit Blues" from the first three Deviants lp's.Off of Farren's 1978 solo record 'Vampires Stole My Lunch Money',we get "Trouble Coming Every Day" and his Frank Zappa cover "Half Price Drink".Also totally dug his Lou Reed cover of "Waiting For My Man" and his decent recital "Diablo's Cadillac".Some say that Mick Farren is considered to be like an underground beloved street punk/poet.Line-up:Mick Farren-vocals,Ken Matsutani-guitar,Rie Miyazaki(Mable Sheep)-bass and Yasuyuki Watanabe-drums.Super-nice Japanese import, with a special cut two-way fold-out cover.Great prototype late '60's psychedelic punk.Recommended."
