"Wow...I've always thought that there was no competition for Beyonce; I'm not a big fan of Kelly Rowland, and Michelle had yet to deviate from her gospel roots, but the results of her pop/R&B oriented music is AMAZING. I saw her album one day on iTunes and thought, Hmmm I haven't heard much from her before, lets give her a go. So I sampled all the tracks and immediately fell in love so I ordered it from Amazon so I could play it on my stereo. They are ALL my favorites; I can't pick one song. You will be so stoked when you receive this album, and if you're not sure--just DO IT, you'll love it. The songs that will entice you will be, without a doubt, Hello Heartbreak, Unexpected, We Break the Dawn, Too Young for Love, The Greatest, Lucky Girl and Hungover--then you will just naturally fall in love with the rest of the album. Next time Michelle-MORE songs. Beyonce, be afraid cuz Michelle's next album is gonna take it to another level!"
REALLY unexpected, but AWESOME CD!

"First of all, you get Destiny Child's SEXIEST voice, you apply it toward saavy, beat-heavy Dance/Club tracks and you end up with an incredible CD! Twice, she hit #1 position on the Dance chart with the first single, "We Break the Dawn" and then with "Hello Heartbreak." How good does it get? Sadly, the CD was not promoted. CBS/Columbia, the record company, is to blame for this horrendous oversight. B.E.T. wasn't feeling it either due to the fact that "they" expected her to stick to her Gospel roots, which personally, NEVER worked for ME. Fortunately, she took a bold step in a more contemporary direction and it paid off. Though the album sold poorly, it was a critical success. If you are a fan of either Madonna's "Confessions On A Dancefloor" or Cyndi Lauper's equally as amazing "Bring Ya To The Brink," you will, no doubt, embrace this effort. It's very different from her normal "sound," so let it work on you gently at first and keep an open mind as you submerge inside it. It could take a few listens, but you'll know when you're hooked. My favorites include the two aforementioned "hits" and "Stop This Car." This is NOT a typical voice in R&B today and that's what Michelle's whole appeal IS. She's got that sexy growl-thing goin' on and she's on fire. Check it out today."
Amazing!

"Michelle Williams must be one of the most underrated singers of all times. This woman sings amazingly, still most people don't care about her material. Unexpected is a cd that opens a new window in her musical experiences, since she goes through r&b, dance, euro-pop, etc. This is a must-buy cd!"
