Synopsis

Product Description
New Age composer MICHELE DE WILTONS's beautiful and melodic compositions are lush with tales of love, yearning and adventure that transport the listener away from daily routines. The music of Myths and Legends creates a musical journey into the experience and emotions of memorable characters. For example, The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen inspired the creation of Waltz for Gerda & Kay. The haunting strains of the music evoke Gerda s quest to find her best friend, Kay, ensnared by the Snow Queen, his heart turned to ice. Michele de Wilton decided to release her first studio album when she discovered that many people who had received an early demo of her music found her music would relax and soothe them during times of stress. Because of this she wanted to share her music with as many people as possible. Michele de Wilton began composing her stories at a young age, not as words on paper but as notes played on a piano. She has always been fascinated with the piano as a way of giving voice to her emotions. Since that time, piano composition has been an integral part of her life. Her early influences were classical composers: Frédéric Chopin, Felix Mendelssohn and Bedrich Smetana. George Winston and Michael Nyman are also important influences. But her passion for musical storytelling came from singer-songwriters like Joan Baez, Chris de Burgh and Janis Ian, as well as Broadway composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.
