One of the finest religious music work I've ever heard

"Having bought most of Ropartz's works recently (the impressive symphonies, especially the 3rd, and the sonates, sextets, septets and octets...), I decided to go for this CD to see what he was able to do in this field. My reference in religious music is Josquin Desprez: I love the purity, the simplicity of Josquin's music and the inner peace it brings... though different in kind, I found with Ropartz's masses this sense of purity and simplicity that I like especially. Both the interpretation and the recording are great... highly recommendable CD! Can't understand why Ropartz is not better known!!"
