Being fair,...

"Just to be fair, this is not a great cd, it just includes a few songs and the rest is just incidental music for the movie. HOWEVER,... this soundtrack was the seed for what the great Calle 54 project came to be. In some of the songs there are appearances by Paquito D'Rivera along with Michel Camilo (who plays all along). There is also the great performance of "Caribe" in which not only the two of them but also "Cachao" and "El Negro" Hernández participate.
Putting together these musicians in those few songs was what a few years later motivated Fernando Trueba (the producer) to put all the Latin jazz big stars to make together the historic cd/dvd Calle 54.
You can feel a little bit of that in this album. The "Two Much Theme" and "Caribe" by far cover the price you pay for it.
