"The late Eighties was rather thin culturally; this was one of the few things musically that endured in memory -- Stearns' score for the 45 minute IMAX spectacular, CHRONOS. The film was very derivative of 'Koyanniquasti' or however one spells it, but the music was anything but Phillip Glass' trademarked arpeggio epics. "Chronos" is more along the lines of high-end Vangelis (circa Blade Runner score era)--romantic, majestic, careening into the stratospheric towards the end. Why is this spectacular recording out of print? Anyone who loves space/electronica/soundtrack/trip will value this well-constructed ride."
