Great Playing, bad singing

"I've been a Schenker fan since the mid 80's when I started playing guitar. MS's last 14 years have been his most productive in the sheer number of his releases. For this, I thank him very, very much! However, like throwing paint on a wall, sometimes it's art and sometimes it's not. This one falls into that later category.
The songs themselves aren't that bad, as far as the guitar playing goes. It is very similar to his two instrumental releases D&E and Imagination; a bit disjointed, almost stream of conscience writing. The singer though does not fit the MSG style. He is a power metal singer that would sound good in a speed metal type band, but not a blues rock band like MSG. Because of this, I find the CD barely listen able. The songs with his previous singers are good to great: the Gary, Graham, and Robin songs are all outstanding.
This CD is best as a download off It**es or Amazon, where you could pick which songs to grab. The last song four songs are the winners (the aforementioned previous singers songs), as well as Angel of Avalon (which was song by the guy off of Written in the Sand)."
