"This is powerful stuff, real deal blues... hard core Michael Locke plays both a handful of covers (note especially the Otis Rush classic "All Your Love" and Freddie King's "Hideaway") and no fewer than eight originals with authority and dexterity, not to mention genuine six-string style. His electric guitar is ripping yet plaintive, Locke can both rock and rile you and soothe. His lyrics are often hilarious, and this album gets an even bigger boost lyric-wise with producer Johnny Nitro writing one and co-writing a pair of songs. The acoustic "Six Feet" is a nice surprise after the rocking electric songs that precede it. Then again, Michael goes pretty guitar savage on that one too, even unplugged. This is a great blues CD. Amazing that this guy is not yet on a real label."
