Product DescriptionBecause of many factors the musical standards of R&B, funk and soul in general were as different as night and day in the first two years of the 1980's. Michael Henderson, both by virtue of his own musical vision and his years of experience navigated through these waters, the same way many actually ended up doing - especially the ones who didn't have a lot to lose if a musical experiment wasn't entirely successful. In Henderson's case the concept he chose for this album seemed to have a lot to do with sexuality. From the provocative album cover featuring a half naked Henderson unclothing by a beach to the slick, glossy feel about the production style this is quite different in many respects for the usually visereal, energetic Henderson. Of the eight cuts on the album five of them are soul 'big ballads' that draw as much from orchestration as they do with Henderson's vocal punches. Limited edition of 2000.
