Synopsis
Album Description Michael Eagleson's sophomore CD, "Bipolar Bear" delivers radio-friendly roots rock with musical integrity and rock and roll attitude. The new album is a rollercoaster of emotion, mixing infectuous grooves with powerful and insightful lyrics. From the first track to the last, Bipolar Bear serves up nothing but great songs, with none of the mediocre "filler" you?ll find in many albums today. Songs like "What Can I Do?" and "Eagles Fly" are bound to be hit singles, employing a high-energy pop-rock style that you won?t be able to get out of your head. Other potential hits include the more alternative "Movin' On"; "Two of a Kind," Michael's tribute to multiple personality disorder; and "The Rest of My Life" ? a duet bound to cross over bridges between rock, pop, and country. Even the more album-oriented tracks are filled with irresistible hooks, intelligent insights, and musical diversity. The epic ballad "Felt Like Missing You" will have you clutching for your heart. Songs like "New Beginning" and "Sad Song" showcase Michael's lyrical ability and growth as a songwriter. And tracks such as "Good Looks and Real Life" and "Glamour Girl" showcase the diversity and symbiotic energy between Michael and the other members of the Bipolar Band, including producer and guitarist Jeff Pike. Bipolar Bear is an album that is destined to reunite pop culture with rock and roll. With its intricate guitar work, exceptional vocal blend, and fresh new sound, Bipolar Bear has something for everyone. |
CD ReviewsEagleson has done it again! tdnugent | Atlanta, GA | 01/11/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "I loved Eagleson's first album "Don't Wait Up", so I just had to get this one, even though I was sure he wouldn't be able to do it again. Boy was I wrong! "Bipolar Bear" is even better! From start to finish, there's not a bad song on it. It's obvious that Eagleson's songwriting has grown both emotionally and musically, and the production quality is impeccable. It's almost impossible to tell this is an independent release... and it's hard to believe Eagleson isn't a huge star yet."
