"James Newton Howard's soundtrack to Michael Clayton is a haunting sweep of chiming percussion, a dark soundscape of melancholy melody. One minute you are encompassed by hollow echoes and brittle chimes; the next you are set on edge by thundering timpani and sinister piano hooks. This dark abstract weather-system is a moody meditative atmosphere shot through with tense rhythmic interludes. It is somewhat reminiscent of the soundtrack to Solaris, another Clooney film. Both pieces wash over one in sad silvery waves."

"There is something so great about this movie-its called ACTING!!! It is so refreshing to see a movie that is based on the characters and story. This movie woke me up to the talents of George Clooney, Tilda Swinton and Tom Wilkinson. I never tire watching it and catch something new with every viewing. Plus the commentary is fun and very informative. One of my absolutely top movies EVER!!! Also, the soundtrack is very haunting and never in the way!"
A great soundtrack for a great film.

"Micheal Clayton is a story far away from the standard "Clooney". It's a very hard look into the multinational word ! If You love Klein, Pollan, Glenny and Loretta Napoleoni this movie it's for You. The soundtrack meets the core of the story in the same deep mood, Don't expect strong rythms or disarmonic notes. This soundtrack is very smooth, lovable and very embrassing your mind in the story. The "25 Dollars Worth" will accompain You all over Your life. Unforgetable track ! Unforgetable Clooney ! Five minutes in a NY taxi without any word, without any action. Clooney's face and Newton Howard's music."
