Album DescriptionOf all the comparisons his body of work has received, we have to recognise that those that choose Leonard Cohen (one of his idols, besides John Denver) are very right. His new EP A Dream of Her puts him closer to the legendary Canadian singer/songwriter. It occurs from different perspectives. One is the mystic effect of his songs. Micah has reinforced that effect with a little stylistic change. When it comes, a change is always interesting if it provokes an artistic progress. That?s what happens here in two pieces, 'Me and You' and 'The Dissappearing', where the piano leads the pulse and takes the reins of the score, leaving the guitar - usually, the main instrument for P. Hinson - with a secondary role. This new landscape allows Micah?s melancholic voice to show a humbler echo and sound more vulnerable in its search of his personal truth.
