A listener-only says: "Great CD."

"I have never seen Metric perform, other tham Emily and James' Rolling Stone Original performances. So I'm going about 97% on what the disc sounds like and not how anybody looks or sounds in live performance.
The disc is great. Everything you want in a "regular" band but with an awesome synth player who is also the lead singer. Her sounds, vocal and instrumental, bring a special vibe to the work. You might say this is a post-punk band with a generally bright sound on "Old World." Their subsequent release, "Live It Out" may be a tad better, with a harder edge than "Old World." Their newest, "Dry Up and Blow Away," I'm still getting to know, but it made a great first impression. The band seems to have turned a few degrees with each CD: recognizably Metric, but evolving. I like it.
However, this review is about "Old World," maybe the most complex of the three. The band often flashes through two or three genres in the same song, giving delightful and surprising jumps in sound and style. It is a very coherent work.
Buy it."

"Probably the best one, but I still haven't found a song by Metric I don't like! GREAT!"
