"Oh, man, this cd is GREAT!! I bought this cd when I wasnt such a big dnb hed, which was about 4 years ago, AND I STILL LOVE IT!!! It goes through so many stylez of DnB and is part time really nice and neat (with the fitting harbeatz naturally) but then on other times you will listen to tracks that will beat you and tell you "I AM HARDCORE" and all you will do is just stare and nod with youre head! The best tracks on this cd are (in my oppinion) the last four tracks on CD2. THOSE TRACKS ARE SOME OF THE DARKEST, MOST EVIL AND FASTEST TRACKS I HAVE HEARD (and I have been into dnb for quite a while now)!! I love it! Those are some of the finest tracks out there!
Are you new to DnB and want to explore what this genre has to offer? GET THIS CD! Are you a DnB Hed just like I am and are looking for a good compilation? GET THIS CD!"

"This double disc set is probably the only DnB CD you need for a very long time. I've had this for about six years now and I'm still picking it up for a spin at least once in a month. The line-up is sharp, the sounds are cutting edge, even in todays scene and the sheer quality of these tracks leaves you mouth open and utterly satisfied.
Peshay's Nocturnal must be one of the darkest and most powerful DnB tunes ever. Photek always delivers. Scotty gives out his repertoire of sniper shooting snares and beautiful, yet grim soundscapes and all the others prove to be on top of the movement as well. This CD is almost solely responsible for me being such a DnB-head ever since I got it. This is DnB at it's darkest, tightest and finest.
Thank god for the Metalheadz."

"The year was 1996 and drum and bass was just beginning to gain recognition worldwide. Producers at the forefront of the genre were entangled in an exciting adventure, creating a new sound. Not satisfied with heavy basslines or kickin' breaks, many of the pioneering producers embraced soul, funk, jazz, reggae, and even classical to enrich this new sound.
And then we have the first series of Platinum Breakz. The producer of the groundbreaking "Timeless" album alongside some of the best producers serving up soulful slices of drum and bass with a new hard edge. Beats never sounded this good. Though such innovative days were shortlived, they have been encapsuled in time on this special double disc. The sound of the future."
For anyone who's into D&B this is a necessity!!!

"I myself have had this double cd for 5 years now and while I don't find it especially dark it is VERY smooth, sophisticated, intelligent as all heck, and is pretty much 96' at it's absolute finest. This stuff was made back in the days of gods and legends by the gods and legends themselves when they were still just emerging into the scene. This is a cd that will be immortally seen as THE main cd to have in a D&B collection just because of the sheer quality, feel, the point in these guy's careers when it came out, and of course overwhelming nostalgia it has. You could compare it to having a Micky Mantle rookie card if your a baseball fan. Quite literally the bible of dnb."

"Recently a question was posted on a popular rave/music message board for people to list their favorite and most influential electronica CD of all time. There was a lot of Kraftwork, Sasha, etc. but I was amazed to see this CD listed time and time again by people given the fact DnB is not as popular in the US as it is in the UK or Germany. I have owned this CD for over 9 years now and it never gets old. This is simply a must have for anyone into any kind of electronic music."
