Brilliant voices and new English lyrics

"This is a bright, crisp recording in English with charming new book (I was previously addicted to other English lyrics). The DDD has a clearer and deeper sound than ADD. I believe this beats the Gedda/Schwarzkopf recording, despite those two voices."

Great recording... too bad its not the full operetta

"I recently saw The Metropolitain opera's new production of The Merry Widow. It was wonderful... Well after seeing it, i wanted a recording. This was the only one that seemed close to what i saw since it was in English. Well, the recording is great. I gave it 5 stars. I was thinking about 4, but its not the recording's falt that it is not the full operetta. Its a great recording. If you need a dose of Merry Widow I recomend this highly. But its recording is just too damn short!"
