"i, as a musician understand the mood of mendelssohns octet. the octet i have just been working in has performed the IV movment of the piece recently, although it was not up to the tempo of how the wounder musicians that performed it, it was at a resonable standered and as i am only a 14 year old cello player this piece is extremly difficult. also at the momement our octet is working at playing bargiels octet as well, this is why i purchised this edition of the CD. as a group we analyse it down to every last detail, e.g the chord progresions. the mood has been captured well in this piece, for music lovers out there that enjoyed this CD i recomend listening to another octet by niels gade in f major op.17. also 2 sextets by brahms, g major op.36 and b flat major op.18. if you would like to write my email address is marianne3000@talk21.com although im only 14 young peoples opinions on classical music these days are hard to find, so we should be listened to. thank you. m"
