What's in a name?

"I'm not sure what the band's moniker is referencing, be it the southern city, an ode to Elvis, or a nod to the architectual & design movement of the 80's??? Regardless, the band's second CD is a nice continuation of their gentle sound. It's becoming clearer who contributed what in the band Stars, as the members record solo. Unlike Amy Millan's trip to Southern Appalachia, Torquil Campbell's explorations seems much more authentic. It brings to mind the debut CD by Stars, Nightsongs. Nothing contrived, just simple and pure beauty of mood and vibe. Thank you for continuing the "Soft Revolution"."
