"Than to listen to this marvellous record of the late, lamented Joseph Villa play these Chopin Mazurkas. Lovely, delicate, and polished. Particularly touching is the No. 13 in A minor. The sweet melancholy is much of why we ever listen to music, and why this stuff is so enduring. This recording is taken from a live performance, and the Borodin Scherzo played as an encore is brilliant."
